Beautiful Things Happen When Women Find Community
There are nights that feel encouraging.
And then there are nights that feel meaningful.
This past GGC gathering felt meaningful.
Not because everything was perfect. Not because we had some huge production or emotional moment. But because there was such a genuine sense of women connecting, opening up, encouraging one another, and beginning to see that there’s a place for them here.
One of the most special parts of the evening was introducing several ministries we believe God is breathing on in this season:
Overflow410 - supporting foster families
Mourning Mothers - walking with mothers through grief and loss
The Village - encouraging moms raising little ones in the thick of everyday motherhood
Each ministry serves a different need.
Each reaches women in different seasons.
But together, they reflect something important:
The Church is meant to care for people personally.
Not just from a platform.
Not just on Sundays.
But through real relationships, support, prayer, and presence.
As GGC continues to grow, one of our greatest desires is that women wouldn’t simply attend events - but that they would discover purpose within community.
Serving doesn’t always look big or public.
Sometimes it looks like:
sitting with someone who feels alone
helping behind the scenes
mentoring a younger woman
listening without judgment
praying faithfully
showing up consistently
Those quiet acts of faithfulness matter deeply.
As we head into our summer break, I’ve been reflecting on how thankful I am for every woman who walks through the doors of GGC - whether she comes confident and ready to serve, or hurting and simply hoping to belong.
There is room for both.
We’ll be taking June and July off for the summer, but we’ll return in August ready for a fresh season together, and I truly believe God is continuing to grow something beautiful in this community.
My prayer is that this summer would not be a pause in your faith - but a season of deepening.
Deepening in your relationship with God.
Deepening in community.
Deepening in purpose.
And maybe… even discovering where God is asking you to pour into others.
You were never meant to do life alone.
