The Pursuit of Holiness
In a world that celebrates comfort and compromise, the call to holiness can feel out of place. Yet, it is one of the most beautiful invitations we’ve ever been given — to live a life that reflects the character of our Father.
Holiness isn’t about perfection or performance. It’s about pursuit. It’s about a heart that continually leans toward God — even when the world pulls in the opposite direction. It’s the quiet choice to walk away from what dulls your spirit, and to step toward what draws you closer to Him.
Our Called to Be Holy study has reminded us that holiness isn’t a one-time decision we make at the altar — it’s a daily one. It’s found in the way we respond when we’re hurt, the conversations we choose to have, and the thoughts we allow to linger in our minds.
Every choice either sets us apart or blends us in. And friend, we weren’t created to blend in. We were created to shine.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:16,
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
When we live holy lives, we don’t just reflect Christ — we reveal Him. The way we live becomes a testimony that whispers to the world, “There is something different here. Something real. Something worth following.”
Holiness will cost you something — your pride, your comfort, maybe even certain relationships. But what you gain in return is peace, clarity, and closeness with God.
There’s a freedom that comes from walking in alignment with Him. You begin to see the world through different eyes — not through fear or pressure, but through purpose.
Holiness isn’t about rules; it’s about relationship. It’s letting your love for Jesus lead the way in how you live, speak, and love others. It’s trusting that His ways are higher — and choosing them even when they’re harder.
If you’ve felt weary or discouraged in your walk, take heart. Holiness is a pursuit, not a destination. God isn’t asking for perfection — He’s asking for progress.
Keep showing up. Keep surrendering. Keep letting Him refine you.
Each small yes to Him is shaping something eternal in you.
You’re not walking alone in this pursuit — we’re walking it together. Let’s continue to be women who choose the narrow road, who seek His presence daily, and who live lives that shine with the beauty of holiness.
We are walking this out together.
Love,
Lynn
